At the United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC) held from the 9th to the 13th of June, our President Brice Lalonde and EdEn called for accelerated support for a sustainable blue economy to protect the oceans.
In the official statement submitted to the United Nations during the event, EdEn calls for the formal adoption of the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) draft ‘net zero emissions’ framework for maritime transport and for strengthening its implementation. EdEn advocates for a pragmatic implementation, enabling innovation and mobilising all decarbonisation solutions available, further supporting low-carbon technologies.
